Business Analyst required by my leading IT client.
We are seeking a BA with a strong background in software development and/or analysis, ideally gained within an IT department or a software vendor environment. A demonstrated track record of successful project delivery and the ability to take ownership of projects and issues is crucial.
Depending on the project size, you may work independently or as part of a team. This role frequently involves direct client interaction, requiring skills in requirements determination, cost estimation, and solution presentation.
This dynamic role encompasses tasks from analysis and configuration to detailed SQL scripting, report generation, and system design. Flexibility and proficiency in both business and technical areas are essential.
Previous Experience/Education:
You will be an experienced BA with knowledge of the insurance industry.
Role Functions:
- Configure insurance systems to meet client specifications
- Produce project feasibility reports
- Liaise with external clients and internal resources
- Create documentation and MIS reports using tools like Crystal Reports and MS Report Builder
- Build SQL queries and use SQL for database reporting and modifications
- Translate client requirements into detailed project documents
- Identify and assess options for technical and business solutions
- Develop logical and innovative solutions to complex problems
- Draw up proposals for modified or replacement systems
- Present proposals to clients
- Work closely with developers and end users to ensure compatibility and satisfaction
- Stay updated with technical and industry developments
- Perform any other related duties as required
Knowledge Required:
- Understanding of the insurance lifecycle
- Proficiency in SQL
- Strong knowledge of database applications, design methods, and approaches
