Regional People Advisor

Are you an experienced People Advisor with a passion for Employee Relations and looking for predominantly a home based role?

This charitable company are seeking an ambitious and competent individual to join their team as a People Advisor specialising in Employee Relations. Please note this role is mostly remote but covering the North West region of the UK where travel could be required so we are looking for candidates based in Leeds, York, Doncaster, Hull or similar so you could be within a 1-3 hours of all your sites if needed.

As a People Advisor reporting into the Senior People Partner your responsibilities include:

  • Taking ownership of your own employee relations cases (around 20 on average per advisor) providing HR advice and guidance to managers
  • Identify and implement HR policies and procedures to support the company's objectives
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee performance and engagement
  • Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary and grievance procedures, performance management, sickness and absence short and long term
  • Support the recruitment process by conducting interviews and providing feedback to hiring managers

This is a regional role covering the areas of North West of the UK where occasional travel (less than monthly) may be needed.

For this position we are looking for experienced HR Advisors who have experience independently managing their own employee relations cases. You will have an up to date and strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

You will be able to use HR MI to identify trends such as sickness absence and work with managers and the wider HR team to achieve the overall people strategy. You will have great stakeholder management skills and be able to demonstrate experience of supporting and training managers of all levels.
