Manufacturing Assembly Planner
ARM are supporting an automotive company based in Chichester to hire an Assembly Planner with experience in Manufacturing.
This is a 12-month rolling contract, inside IR35.
Fully on-site, 5 days a week.
Up to £30 p/hour Umbrella.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the Build team to support process improvement and equipment management.
- Manage budget and timescales for assembly procurement; tooling, jigs & fixtures.
- Review and manage any changes to the assembly process and ensure this is accurately communicated to the assembly line.
- Monitor and maintain the history of the build.
- Support the quality team with any upcoming audits.
- Ensuring continuous improvement is at the forefront of every day.
- Monitor the Health & Safety of the assembly team - ensuring risk assessments are up to date.
- Support the training of junior members of staff, contractors and students.
- Managing vendors and suppliers and supporting their assembly/ equipment needs.
The Person:
- You must be an excellent communicator, and comfortable talking with stakeholders of all levels.
- Ideally have experience within manufacturing engineering.
- An Automotive or Manufacturing degree or equivalent.
