You will be part of the technology division of Market Risk, specifically in the QA & Testing area, supporting regulatory and non-regulatory commitments for the bank. Your role will require close collaboration not only within the technology teams of Market Risk but also with various business and front office teams. Therefore, you will be both technical and business focused with an appetite to be hands-on as appropriate.

Your key responsibilities

  • Manage multiple business and technology driven deliverables front to back within the existing tech stack and produce tangible outcomes consistently.
  • Provide testing and implementation leadership to direct team and extended teams as applicable by partnering with agile teams, business counterparts to lead the testing strategy and approach for key regulatory and non-regulatory deliverables.
  • Align the test strategy with the overarching product roadmap and actively look for ways to simplify and automate testing. Collaborate with tech partners to further integrate testing in early development lifecycle.
  • Simplification and consolidation of test environments across the stack, identify areas of concerns and remediate gaps with front to back test environments strategy.
  • Constantly be on top of test automation initiatives to help support a front to back test automation suite spanning multiple technologies.
  • Perform execution of tests to meet various business and regulatory change validation.

Your skills and experience

  • Industry experience (preferably market risk) with extensive direct experience in managing large testing programmes. Good knowledge on market risk fundamentals with exposure to regulatory programmes like FRTB and Stress testing.
  • Sound experience in Unix, SQL, Python scripting with working knowledge in Hadoop technologies.
  • Good experience in Test and process automation. Knowledge in CI/CD tools would be an added advantage. Knowledge on Google Cloud Platform is preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues.
  • Ability to visualize things holistically, understand complex systems from both tech and business standpoint with ability to solve issues as appropriate.
  • Strong SDLC and dev tools knowledge is preferred.
