We are looking for a Receptionist to join our clients on a temporary basis for approx. 6 weeks. The ideal candidate will have experience in a legal or accountancy practice and possess strong organisational skills. This role is perfect for individuals with a background in reception, secretarial work, or office management who are adept at working in fast-paced environments.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office.
- Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material.
- Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills for team environments and public interactions.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
- Excellent IT skills and willingness to learn new systems.
- Highly motivated with a willingness to take on a wide range of duties.
- Previous experience in a professional services company, ideally a legal or accountancy practice.
