Day to Day Duties
Working as a Stock Controller for our client your duties will be:
- Conducting regular cycle counts or periodic stock takes to determine available inventory
- Review of aged inventory / remnants for scrap review
- Maintain high degree of efficiency with scrap process and disposal through the inventory function.
- Support for material recovery ‘lost stock
- FIFO analysis, options to increase stock turns and utilisation
- Maintain important relationships within the business and assisting operations, Sales, Finance where necessary.
- Supply inventory reporting to the team and/or business.
- Supporting the Inventory Manager in all other related Inventory tasks where necessary
- Aid in monthly and quarterly reporting
Essential Skills
Skills needed to be a Stock Controller with our client are:
- Be able to work as part of a team or alone
- Inventory management / stock control
- Metal knowledge or experience
- Strong GCSE/A-levels or equivalent
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Good attention to detail
- Must be able to understand and adhere to all safety requirements
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritise workload
Desirable Experience
Desirable experience needed to be a Stock Controller with our client is:
- Previous warehouse experience
- Strong academic record
- Experience in working in a similar role and environment
