**Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Development Officer, your primary purpose will be to support the delivery of the Council's Development Projects. Here's a glimpse of what you'll be doing:

  • Financial Management: Assist with financial tasks such as raising purchase orders, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Project Monitoring: Support project and programme level monitoring, record-keeping, and servicing of strategic governance boards.
  • Effective Communication: Help communicate effectively with residents, stakeholders, and internal Council teams. This includes drafting information and updating websites.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support consultation and engagement projects with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the project cycle.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and develop good working relationships with local partnerships, community groups, and statutory service providers.
  • Sensitive Project Management: Project manage the decant of residents and existing services or community organizations with sensitivity and efficiency.

**About You

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and skills:

Essential Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in construction, surveying, development, or regeneration, or significant experience and evidence of continuous professional development.

Desirable Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience in financial payments and monitoring.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to manage conflict.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Graduate-level education or equivalent experience.
