You'll lead the Finance Team in creating effective and efficient support for the Group and our third-party clients. As a member of the Finance Leadership Team, you'll also support the Executive Finance Director and wider Executive Team to meet our strategic objectives.
Job requirements:
- Lead the Finance team and provide day to day management and co-ordination of the activities of the Finance team
- Provide and interpret financial advice and information
- Co-ordinate the annual preparation of the financial statements across all brands within the Group
- Advise on any implications or trends in the Group's results, and ensure there is full visibility on any points of consideration
- Support the leadership community and managers on the development and management of the annual budget,
- Provide and interpret key financial data to the business
- Develop and embed the finance risk management framework
- Devise plans to ensure full compliance with treasury policy and strategy
- Drive forward activity related to both internal and external audits
What we're looking for:
- A degree level qualification and Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAEW)
- Substantial experience in leading and developing teams in a Finance environment
- Strong understanding of effective financial control and management
- Knowledge of housing associations, charities and / or home improvement agencies and the arenas in which they operate
- Demonstrable experience of working at a senior level in a Finance environment
- Excellent numerical, written and oral communication skills
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiating skills
- Great leadership skills and provide coaching, direction and management to encourage the development of others
- Focussed and driven to develop and deliver high quality services
