Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a SEMH Specialist to work closely with a Key Stage 2 student who has been diagnosed with PTSD, anxiety, and challenging behaviour. As a SEMH Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised support, implementing strategies, and fostering a positive learning environment for the student.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement personalized support plans to address the student's SEMH needs.
- Provide one-to-one support and interventions to help manage anxiety and challenging behaviour.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for the student.
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions accordingly to facilitate the student's emotional well-being and academic progress.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social and emotional development.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEMH challenges, particularly PTSD and anxiety.
- Passion for supporting mental health and creating positive learning environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Psychology graduates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
