Senior Social Worker/AMHP

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated Senior Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our Community Mental Health teams. Day to Day of the role:
- Work in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust as a seconded team member within a multi-disciplinary Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).
- Undertake delegated duties under the Care Act 2014, and if an AMHP, the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007) and other relevant legislation.
- Assess the needs of adults with acute, complex, or enduring mental health problems and the needs of their carers.
- Formulate and implement care plans using a strength-based approach.
- Monitor, review, and evaluate services to ensure they meet the identified needs effectively.
- Provide professional advice and expertise to less experienced staff and manage complex casework.
- Coordinate and chair case conferences and planning meetings, including safeguarding meetings.
- Respond to new and changed legislation and contribute to the control of team budgets.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Dip SW, CQSW, or degree in Social Work.
- Qualified AMHP and Practice Educator.
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Evidence of completing an Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) or willingness to undertake ASYE.
- Experience in adult mental health services and knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
