A lovely Primary School in Paignton is seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic educator to work as a Teaching Assistant across the school, supporting children with additional needs on a 1:1 or small group basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a full or part-time work within a lovely, friendly school who are passionate about supporting their staff with professional development and are keen to support vulnerable families to build a strong community around the school.

The Role

You will be expected to support 1:1 children or small groups of children with EHCP's in place.

The Head Teacher is looking for someone who is able to bring a calm and nurturing learning environment to the classroom, where the child can feel safe and comfortable in your care.

The role is well supported by the class teachers, teaching assistants and members of SLT.

You will be expected to:

  • Strong positive behaviour management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate well with the Class Teacher
  • Have previous experience working with SEND children.
  • Be adaptable with the child's learning environment.
  • Communicate and observe personal and learning development.
