The Role
As a Part Qualified Practice Accountant, you will be a key player in delivering exceptional accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients. You will be responsible for:
- Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts: Ensure accuracy and compliance in VAT submissions and contribute to the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax computations: Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and corporation tax returns.
- Bookkeeping: Utilize QuickBooks Online, Sage, Xero, and FreeAgent for accurate and efficient bookkeeping.
- Keeping up to date with technical accounting and VAT issues: Stay informed about the latest developments in accounting standards and VAT regulations to best serve clients.
- Team participation: Actively engage in team meetings and collaborative projects to drive the business forward.
- Financial record maintenance: Help maintain and update financial records ensuring they are organized and up-to-date.
- Support with ad-hoc projects: Assist the accounts team with various ad-hoc tasks and special projects as required.

About You
To thrive in this role, you should be:
- Experienced in accountancy practice: Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
- Currently studying towards an accounting qualification: You should be on your way to achieving an AAT or ACCA qualification.
- Proficient in accounting software: Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, Sage, Xero, and FreeAgent, along with a solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
- Detail-oriented: You possess excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Organized and efficient: Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
- A team player: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
