Job Title: Hospital Security Officer

Hours per week: Variable Shift Rota - 42 hours per week

Job Overview
We are currently seeking a Hospital Security Officer with experience and a valid SIA license to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors in the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patrol hospital premises to prevent and detect any signs of intrusion, damage, or theft.
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarms, and respond to any incidents in a timely manner.
- Control access to restricted areas and ensure that only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
- Respond to emergencies and provide assistance when required.
- Write reports detailing any incidents that occur during their shift.
- Liaise with hospital staff and management to ensure that security protocols are being followed.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
About You:
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- Previous experience as a security officer in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Valid SG or DS SIA license. (additional CCTV License preferred)
- Good understanding of both spoken and written English.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Flexibility to work on a 5 on 5 off shift pattern.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations effectively.
- The person must be within a reasonable travelling distance to the site, these shifts are 12-hour shifts and can sometimes run over and/or be very strenuous, anyone who is over an hour away will be rejected due to rest period.
