Job Title: Skilled Production Operative

Location: Ledbury

Contract Details: Ongoing Temporary Assignment - Full Time 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm

Pay Rate: Starting from £12.05 per hour, rising to £12.55 after a 12-week qualifying period (Weekly Pay)

Responsibilities:

As a Skilled Production Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the production line. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up machines and performing changeovers according to production requirements.
  • Following the production schedule and internal system to meet daily targets.
  • Setting up product print as per manufacturing specifications.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Reporting any accidents or health & safety concerns promptly.
  • Performing all production-related tasks to maintain high-quality finished goods.
  • Identifying and reporting any issues that may pose a risk to food safety.
  • Recommending improvements to the Shift Production Manager and implementing accepted changes.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely operational documentation.
  • Meeting departmental goals and quality targets.
  • Providing quality products and services that meet customer requirements.
  • Monitoring processes and addressing non-conformance.
  • Proactively participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Undertaking relevant training as required.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Experience working in a production environment, including setting up and operating production lines.
  • Reliability, self-motivation, drive, and commitment.
  • Flexibility and resilience to undertake additional tasks as directed.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • High personal and professional standards.
  • Computer literate.

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Technical certifications or relevant qualifications in production operations.

Technologies:

  • Familiarity with machines and equipment used in production processes.
