The Role:
As an Audit Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing audit engagements and ensuring the smooth execution of audit work. You will be responsible for managing junior team members, reviewing audit work, and ensuring compliance with audit standards and client expectations. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead audit teams in the execution of audit assignments for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Review and finalise audit work, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with clients, addressing any queries and ensuring that audit processes are explained clearly and professionally.
- Assist in the planning and risk assessment of audit engagements.
- Support the training and development of junior staff, providing feedback and guidance to enhance their professional skills.
- Identify areas for improvement in the audit process and contribute to the development of audit strategies.
- Ensure that all audit work is completed within deadlines and budgets.
Skills & Experience:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with substantial audit experience.
- Strong understanding of UK auditing standards and regulations.
- Experience supervising or managing audit teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
