We are currently looking for a passionate and skilled Foundation Learning Tutor to join our educational institution. The role is centred on delivering life skills education to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) within the Further Education sector. Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and teach a life skills curriculum tailored to the individual needs of SEND students.
  • Construct and manage personalised learning plans to monitor and aid student progress.
  • Assess student work consistently, offering feedback that encourages and directs learners towards achieving their personal goals.
  • Cultivate a cooperative and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to maintain a high standard of teaching in SEND education.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in Education or a related field.
  • A valid teaching qualification for the Further Education sector.
  • Experience in a similar role, with a strong emphasis on life skills education for SEND students.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a talent for engaging and inspiring a diverse range of students.
  • A proactive and innovative approach to creating and sustaining an inclusive educational environment.
  • DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
