If you're an electrically biased ex military engineer, I have a fantastic opportunity to work for a company who values your skills and employ many ex-military engineers across their UK sites. Our client is currently recruiting for a Lead Maintenance Engineer at their site in Castle Donington, Derbyshire. The successful Lead Maintenance Engineer will have experience in leading and coordinating a team of maintenance engineers and will carry out hands on maintenance to ensure the plant runs smoothly and efficiently.

This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with an electrical engineering bias who are leaving their military engineering career and are looking to join a company who are market leaders in their industry.

Lead Maintenance Engineer Requirements:

  • Must have completed a recognised apprenticeship program and hold an Electrical qualification to level 3 as a minimum.
  • Proven experience of leading a team.
  • Experience working on single and 3 phase systems.
  • Have strong electrical fault finding and diagnostic experience.
  • Previous PLC fault finding experience.
  • Hold mechanical skills, working with drives, gears, hydraulics, motors and compressed air systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical engineering diagrams, schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Hold an IOSH qualification.
  • Understanding of WMS or WCS systems would be beneficial.
  • IT Literate.

Lead Maintenance Engineer Benefits:

  • Salary is £56,585 including shift allowance.
  • Panama shift pattern - 0600 - 1800 - 0600 hours.
