An award-winning business in Aldridge is expanding its design team and is in search of a Design Engineer with a passion for engineering solutions. Day to Day of the Role:
- Engage in all aspects of project work, including initial concept, quotation, design, build, and installation.
- Deliver structural steel solutions for civil and industrial applications, ensuring a safety-first approach.
- Perform stress calculations and engage in civil engineering design tasks.
- Utilise 2D CAD skills and expand into the technical aspects of project delivery.
- Collaborate with a team to meet growing order books and maintain the company's reputation for excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in structural steel or civils design.
- Proficiency in 2D CAD; experience with AutoCAD 2D and 3D preferred.
- Knowledge of design for manufacture (DFM) and ability to perform stress calculations.
- A proactive approach to learning and career development, with a willingness to expand into temporary works design.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the Civil or Mechanical engineering industry is advantageous.
