Senior Administrator - School Experience

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Administrator to join our special educational needs school for 11–19-year-olds. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and play a pivotal role in the smooth running of the school. Position: Temporary Senior Administrator

Location: Tower Hamlets, East London

Job Type: Temporary – Term Time

Hourly Rate: £14.00 – 17.00ph (depending upon experience)

Working Hours pw: 35

Day to Day of the role:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, handling inquiries both on the phone and in person, and providing information about the school to the public, parents, and professionals.
  • Perform general administrative and clerical support tasks including preparing documents, scheduling appointments, and maintaining a tidy reception area.
  • Review files and records to respond to information requests, distribute correspondence, and maintain filing systems.
  • Assist in the maintenance of IT databases for pupils and staff, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Manage the effective coordination of pupils' annual reviews, maintaining a central list and distributing review documents.
  • Maintain the School's central register on safeguarding, ensuring efficient and accurate record-keeping.
  • Provide administrative support to the Headteacher and teaching staff, including drafting letters, reports, and managing staff professional development records.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Headteacher, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the school's ethos.

  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Adaptable and able to work effectively within a team.
