My client is seeking a diligent Finance Assistant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of financial tasks, including bank reconciliations, invoice generation, and data processing. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations for all accounts and produce monthly reports for management information and bank file reporting.
  • Print monthly bank statements for bank and management information files.
  • Generate weekly reports of projects closed but not invoiced, close projects, and generate invoices.
  • Update the engineering invoice schedule with new items and review it at the end of each week, emailing a snapshot of outstanding items to planning and engineering heads of departments.
  • Manage engineering invoicing emails and respond to unanswered queries.
  • Update deferred income contract schedules and internal maintenance schedules, ensuring they are reconciled to the accounting software nominal ledger.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of core and warranty status and perform monthly contractual sales invoicing.
  • Handle ad hoc sales invoicing for contracts, fuel, etc., and process payments in the absence of senior accounts.
  • Authorise payments and import data from Heliplan to finance software daily.
  • Process payroll data for all companies from the collated schedules and information.
  • Provide support for purchase and engineering invoice processes.
  • Manage communication as required for cover purposes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience using SAGE Line 50.
  • Relevant experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards work.
