Our Client:

A leading estate agency in Basingstoke is looking for a self-employed, highly motivated Mortgage Advisor to join their growing team. They offer a fantastic opportunity to build a successful career in a supportive and dynamic environment.

The Role:

In this hybrid role, you'll split your time between the Basingstoke branch and working remotely, providing expert mortgage advice to our clients. This role is ideal for a self-employed Mortgage Advisor (CeMAP qualified) who thrives on building strong relationships and achieving ambitious targets.

What You'll Do (Branch):

  • Conduct initial consultations with clients to understand their financial situation and property goals.
  • Research and recommend the most suitable mortgage products from a whole-of-market perspective (Mortgage Only or Mortgage & Protection).
  • Guide clients through the mortgage application process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Liaise with lenders, solicitors, and estate agents to ensure a smooth and efficient mortgage journey.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local estate agents and property professionals.
  • Contribute to a positive and professional atmosphere within the branch.

What You'll Do (Remote):

  • Conduct follow-up consultations with clients via phone, video call, or email.
  • Progress mortgage applications with lenders.
  • Prepare and submit all necessary documentation for mortgage approval.
  • Be available to answer client questions and provide ongoing support throughout the mortgage process.
  • Work one Saturday in four from home to manage client queries and maintain service levels.

Who You Are:

  • A self-employed CeMAP qualified Mortgage Advisor with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • A strong understanding of the UK mortgage market and a proven track record of success in achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from all backgrounds.
  • A confident and persuasive individual with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear and concise way.
  • Highly motivated, self-disciplined, and able to manage your workload effectively in a hybrid working environment.
  • A team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • A strong work ethic and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
