We're currently recruiting for a rapidly growing financial services business looking for a permanent Client Accounts Assistant. This varied role offers hybrid working (2 days in the office a week minimum though). The job would be ideal for someone with good all-round accounts skills looking to gain some treasury exposure in their next accounting role. This client also actively supports further study (AAT / ACCA etc).

Working in the Client Accounting team you will help to maintain an efficient and accurate accounting function in line with current company policies and procedures. Duties will include:

  • Daily cash management of the Client bank account, ensuring that payments and receipts are posted accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Investigate any unidentified transactions; contacting payers and liaising with colleagues to accurately post receipt transactions.
  • Allocate charges on the Client Account across all clients in accordance with the agreed charging structure.
  • Complete month end bank reconciliations for all clients to agreed deadlines.
  • Bank all client cheques received at least every two weeks.
  • Prepare cashflow movements and forecasts for clients to agreed deadlines.
  • Prepare third party notification letters for new client implementations.
  • Provide support for the client invoice process.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts. (i.e. payroll, annuity income, debtors, creditors)
  • Reconcile monthly annuity income with insurance providers for all clients to agreed deadlines and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Developing an understanding of ISO 27001.
  • Support others within the team by understanding and sharing workloads as well as knowledge and experience.
  • Maintain an up to date working knowledge of client requirements through proactive self-learning.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements to enhance the quality of the service provided.
