Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Drylining)

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + package

About the Role:
Our client, a leading construction company, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team. You will be responsible for managing drylining packages with project values ranging from £100k to £3.5m. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career and work on a variety of projects across London and the South East.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents, contracts, and cost estimates.
- Oversee and manage drylining packages, ensuring all works are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct cost analysis and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the project management team and subcontractors to ensure project success.
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor tenders and variations.
- Provide support to senior quantity surveyors and commercial managers.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in drylining, either with a specialist subcontractor or overseeing drylining packages with a main contractor.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, costs, and procurement processes.
- Strong financial and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred but not essential).
