Service Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to join Southdown as a CQC Registered Service Manager in a vibrant Supported Living scheme for six adults with Learning Disabilities.

We are looking for a candidate who will maintain an excellent standard of practice, are brilliant with people and can help our people (clients and staff) thrive.

Some of the people who use these services may present some challenges or have complex health needs and the manager needs experience in supporting staff to work professionally and compassionately under these circumstances.

To be a successful manager in these services you will need :

  • Experience as a Deputy Manager or above
  • Experience of working with people with learning disabilities including those who challenge services
  • NVQ /Diploma Level 3 or above, and a commitment to undertaking further management training
  • Understanding of CQC requirements - you'd be the registered manager, with great organisational support including a central CQC compliance manager
  • A commitment to person centred individualised services
  • Be an excellent communicator, with some understanding of Makaton or non-verbal communication desirable
  • The ability to develop and support a committed team of staff
