7.5 Delivery Driver

Totally Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting for 7.5 tonne Delivery Drivers, to join a distribution and retail company located in Wednesbury. This role would also suite NEW PASS HGV Drivers.

As a 7.5 tonne delivery driver, you will be working out of the distribution centre in Wednesbury covering the West Midlands. You will be delivering and sometimes installing American Fridge Freezers, Washing Machines, Tumble Dryers, Dishwashers, TVs, Microwaves, and a variety of other products; all training will be provided.

There will be heavy lifting involved, and you will have a Drivers Mate to support you on all deliveries.

Working Hours: 5 days on and 3 days off on a rota basis inclusive of weekends, with two 30-minute breaks. You must be available to work between the hours of 6.45am – 6.15pm; you may be required to assist other colleagues during your day.

The duties of the 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver include:

  • Lifting heavy items and completing a multi-drop driving role
  • Ensuring the right products get to the right places at the right time
  • Installing a range of various products for customers
  • Providing a first-class customer service; the role is not just a "drop and go"
  • Following a delivery route and calling customers before arrival
  • Completing paperwork as and when required
  • Removing all packaging from each delivery to take back to depot for recycling

The ideal 7.5 tonne Delivery Driver will have:

  • Experience within a similar role
  • A full Class C1 UK/EA licence with no more than six penalty points
  • CPC card and Tachograph card
  • New pass HGV Drivers accepted
  • The ability to handle heavy goods
  • A clean DBS

Salary: £30,420 per annum (£13.00 per hour)
