Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Supply Primary Teaching Assistant to join our team starting in September 2024. This part-time role involves providing support across various classes, assisting with lesson preparations, and contributing to the educational development of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers in delivering effective teaching and learning.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom activities.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need additional help.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of students during activities and break times.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support the emotional and social development of students.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role.
- Understanding of primary school curriculum and child development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
- Basic IT skills for administrative tasks and educational software.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in education or child care is desirable.
- First Aid certification is an advantage.
- Cache Level 1,2 or 3
