Security Installation Engineer

Job Description

This role involves working as part of a small, skilled team installing and maintaining secure entry management, surveillance systems, and commercial door entry systems. Operating primarily in high-security environments such as aviation, transportation, and educational facilities, the position requires strict adherence to security procedures and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Night shift 07.30pm-16.30am

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to Head Office promptly each day to receive the daily brief (usually at 0715) and depart on task by 0730 or 1930 for night shifts.
  • Work as part of a two-person installation team in secure, high-compliance environments.
  • Carry out installations according to strict security and company protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients to address enquiries and provide updates.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager and provide daily written progress and completion reports.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork and timesheets on a daily basis.
  • Maintain issued tools, PPE, uniforms, and vehicles in a clean and serviceable condition.
  • Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures on-site.
  • Report any incidents or dangerous occurrences promptly through the proper channels.
  • Participate in supplier and specialist training for professional development.
  • Carry out additional tasks as requested by management to support company objectives.

Qualifications & Education Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid CSCS Card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • Acess control experience.
  • Clean employment history suitable for high-security clearance.
  • Knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (advantageous).
  • Certifications such as IPAF, PASMA, and Confined Space Training (advantageous).
  • Experience with intruder systems, access control systems, CCTV, and data installations (preferred).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain safety protocols.
  • Reliable, honest, and able to work under pressure.
  • Capable of leading or working within a small team.
  • Self-motivated with good forward planning and initiative.
  • Flexible and adaptable to fast-changing environments, particularly construction sites
