This role has a starting salary of £21,421 per annum (pro-rata to £26,777 FTE) based on a 28.8 hour (4 day) working week.

This is a 6-month fixed term contract with the possibility of an extension.

We are excited to be hiring a new Administration Assistant to join our fantastic Epsom & Ewell Locality Team The team is based in Fairmount House, Leatherhead, with the potential to return to the Epsom area in the future. The role is hybrid working, with a mixture of working in the office and from home, aiming for a minimum for full time staff to be in the office twice a week and part time staff once a week. About the Team

We're a small and friendly administration team, supporting the vibrant and diverse Epsom & Ewell Locality Team. We provide additional support to the Social Care team based at Epsom General Hospital and work hard to support each other. We strive to ensure that anyone who joins us is welcomed and included, working together to provide positive outcomes to the residents of Epsom & Ewell.

About the Role

As an Administration Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to a front-line operational and hospital team.

You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as you will be dealing with telephone enquiries, emails and a wide range of correspondence and scanning duties. Additionally, you will be asked to take notes of meetings and will be entering accurate and factual data on our client database.

As an Administration Assistant, you will gain a good insight into social care and what our practitioners do. We are often the first point of contact for the public, and you will be receiving and responding to everyday enquiries. It is therefore important to be positive, polite and ensure we promote Surrey's values.

Shortlisting Criteria

To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • Excellent administrative and organisation skills
  • Passion for customer service and your desire to support both the team and wider Surrey residents
  • Sound knowledge of IT packages such as Excel, Word, and databases and your quick and accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
