A well established company based in Bolton is looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger to join their team on a permanent and full-time basis. Currently reporting a financial turnover of over £100million, this organisation has doubled in size over the past few years and has further plans to double its turnover in the next 3-5 years. This is an incredibly exciting time to join a fast-paced, secure business that has a number of employees exceeding 5+ years of service.
Your new role
In your new role as an Accounts Assistant, you will primarily be working within the purchase ledger team, and you will be responsible for processing purchase invoices. You will check all costs for approval as well as deal with all internal and external suppliers. Alongside this, you will approve invoices on their bespoke system for payment and running payments through the accounts' system, bankline and Excel spreadsheets. You will have involvement in monthly statement reconciliations, year-end supplier statement reconciliations and reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have recent accounts assistant / purchase ledger experience and be confident in maintaining daily invoice processing routines without much supervision. With strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise your work, you offer a friendly and team-orientated manner with a positive approach.
