Human Resources Advisor

We are currently recruiting a HR Advisor for a manufacturing company in Hereford.

Working as part of the HR Team, the HR Advisor supports with delivery through the provision of a professional HR service that meets the needs of the business and its employees as well as supporting and leading the implementation of HR initiatives. The HR Advisor will also support the Learning & Development activities for the site in line with site objectives and strategy. This role will also support talent acquisition for the recruitment of direct roles at the site and act as the primary contact and support for all other recruitment requirements of which are supported by the Global Talent Acquisition Team.

Work experience and skills required:

  • Experience of working as HR Advisor or similar role.
  • Able to demonstrate exposure to the following: dealing with complex employee relations cases, absence management, stakeholder management, employee engagement, policy writing and updating.
  • Able to contribute to change management initiatives. Able to manage the implementation of HR initiatives / projects. Able to influence and impact key stakeholders.
  • Able to build strong working relationships with stakeholders. Able to work well in busy conditions and to operate effectively within a team.
  • Able to prioritise work to meet tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities. Works well under pressure, thriving in a fluid environment and can adjust to changing business demands.
  • Able to use a variety of HRIS and related IT solutions. Sound knowledge of current employment law. Excellent customer services skills to be able to communicate to wide stakeholders. Strong MS Office skills, numerate and competent in Excel.
  • Sound judgement for well-rounded and consistent decision making. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-awareness, encouraging feedback two-way. Demonstrates confidentiality, discretion, and integrity always. Be approachable and engaging.

Essential

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent

Desirable

  • Training toward CIPD level 7 or equivalent.
  • Train the trainer qualification
  • Experience within a commercial/distribution or manufacturing environment
