Butler Rose is working with a leading manufacturing company in South Devon to recruit a Cost Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid working role which also offers some flexible working.
Reporting into the Finance Director, this is a crucial role where you will work closely with various stakeholders across the wider business, providing vital information for a range of areas.
Key duties will include:
- Supporting ongoing maintenance and improvement of existing product costing information
- Analysis of customer and product margins, to achieve financial objectives.
- Delivery of financial information to support customer quotations
- Delivery of accurate and timely product costs
- Monitoring and tracking of costs and time spent on projects, to ensure correct revenue recognition
- Using costing methods, to calculate product cost records to support price structures for products within the business
- Improvements to costing models, ERP and supporting processes
- Presenting key financial information to senior Directors within the business
The successful candidate will be either a formally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or QBE providing you have the relevant skills and experience for the role.
You will have strong Excel skills, experience of working with an ERP / MRP system, and the ability to communicate complex data to a wide range of individuals.
