Purchase Ledger Clerk

Reed Accountancy are currently assisting a well established client in the Crowborough area in the recruitment of a Purchase ledger Clerk to join their finance team. As Purchase ledger Clerk you will be responsible for supporting the accounts payable team ensuring the accurate and smooth running of the team, loading invoices and credit notes, checking statements, dealing with payments runs to meet strict deadlines.. This role will offer hybrid working after full training has been given.

Day to Day duties as Purchase Ledger Clerk:

  • Processing invoices and credit notes
  • Setting up Vendors
  • Checking statements and weekly payment runs
  • Dealing with supplier and colleague queries
  • Sending out remittances
  • Processing Corporate Traveller invoices and Credit Card transactions
  • Unapproved invoice report at month end
  • Dealing with Bacs requests
  • Provide cover elsewhere in the accounts department
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks relating to system implementation
  • Carry out other tasks as required to meet business needs

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
