Access to Nursing Lecturer

We are inviting applications for a Nursing Lecturer with a specialism in Sociology and the capability to teach Biology across Level 2 and 3, including Access to Nursing courses. This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about delivering a comprehensive education to future healthcare professionals.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver 4 hours of Sociology teaching per week, with the remainder of the time dedicated to teaching Biology across Level 2, Level 3, and Access courses.
- Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in Sociology, Biology and Nursing.
- Develop and update course materials, ensuring they meet the curriculum requirements and are engaging for students.
- Assess and evaluate student work, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Maintain student records, including grades and attendance, and monitor student progress.
- Participate in curriculum development and work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the quality of teaching.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A degree in Nursing, Sociology, Biology, or a closely related field.
- Experience in teaching Sociology and Biology at the College level.
- Strong understanding of the subject matter with the ability to convey complex concepts to students of varying levels.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Current registration with a relevant professional body is desirable.
