We are seeking a dynamic Programme Lead to plan, lead, and report on all aspects of our clients projects. The company who design and manufacture composite parts for the shipping and submarine industry. The programme lead will be involved from bid to execution and shutdown, you will be instrumental in controlling project variance against budget, driving countermeasures, and ensuring project performance is communicated effectively throughout the organisation. Key Responsibilities:

Deliver projects on time and within budget.

Engage with projects from the RFQ phase.

Create and maintain project programs with input from planning and delivery departments.

Identify and communicate project risks and mitigations.

Collaborate with all business functions to execute a master plan across market sectors.

Operational Planning:

Report resource requirements for live and forecasted projects.

Develop an operational plan aligned with financial goals.

Ensure clear schedules and deadlines for projects.

Meet external sales and EV targets within budget.

Quality Cost Delivery:

Drive adherence to procedures and quality standards.

Ensure on-time, right-first-time delivery.

Manage project and department spend within budget.

Focus on order delivery to meet contract dates and customer expectations.

People management (When Required):

Manage performance and development of direct reports.

Foster continuous improvement within the team.

Support cross-sector programmes as needed.

Health, Safety & Environmental:

Promote EH&S awareness.

Ensure compliance with company and legislative requirements.

Qualifications:

Technical Degree/HNC/HND/Apprenticeship or equivalent experience.

Proven experience in customer-facing technical project management.

Ability to obtain basic security clearance.

Desirable Programme/Project Management Qualification/Accreditation.

Knowledge/Skills:

Proficiency in industry-standard Project Management Tools.

Complex NPI type project experience- managing fluidity - multi faceted elements to a project such as R&D/Design/Verification& Validation/Release to Mfg.

Understanding of business processes and compliance.

Excellent communication, team-working, and problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Commercial acumen and contract understanding.

Experience in implementing PLM frameworks.

Knowledge of Defence environments and composite design/manufacture is desirable.
