This role sits within our Private Sector FM business division that provides catering, cleaning, hard services, pest control, and security services to a wide range of prestigious clients, within the Venues market.
About The Role:
Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager to join our passionate and driven Cleaning, Mailroom and Security team based at our client's site in Watford. You will help oversee budgets, manage maintenance, negotiate with suppliers and contractors, and improve operations overall.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of soft services, ensuring all operations are efficient and meet quality standards
- Supervise service staff and external contractors, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments
- Manage budgets and expenses related to soft services, ensuring cost-effective solutions
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure services meet the needs of the organisation
- Uphold all health and safety policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure adherence by all contractors and teams.
- Maintain and improve service standards in the mailroom, cleaning, and security. Regularly inspect services and manage team performance for quality service delivery.
About You:
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- Previous management experience withing the Facilities Management space
- Proven track record of delivering on target P&L, retention and growth performance.
- Previous experience in cleaning, Security & Soft services
- Evidence of "hands-on" operational experience and a track record of successful client relationship management.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and delegate effectively to direct reports
- Prior experience working in a corporate retail head office is desirable
- Demonstrated Leadership skills - Proven record of developing and coaching high-performance teams
- Degree-level education or equivalent
- IOSH qualified
