University Counsellor

About the Role:

Randstad Student Support is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Counsellor to join our team, working directly with the University of Birmingham. This is a 6-month contract position, starting at the end of September and running through to the end of March.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic support to students dealing with general mental health and emotional issues.
  • Conduct 5 appointments per day, each consisting of 50-minute sessions followed by 10 minutes for note-taking.
  • Be present on-campus 5 days a week to deliver consistent support to the student body.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered BACP member / or CBT qualification
  • Relevant experience in providing mental health support, particularly to children and young adults.
  • DBS (desirable)
