Randstad Education is seeking a talented Year 5 teacher to join our enthusiastic team, located in the vibrant community of Kirklees. As a Year 5 teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education and support to students during this important stage of their academic journey.This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2024 and extending until December 2024, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students and contribute to their academic and personal growth.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the Year 5 curriculum, incorporating a range of teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs and interests of students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued, supported, and motivated to achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and implement creative and challenging learning activities that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent inquiry.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and stimulating learning experience that integrates cross-curricular themes and real-world connections.
  • Assess student progress and attainment regularly, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic growth and development.
  • Establish strong partnerships with parents and carers, maintaining open communication and involving them in their child's learning journey.
  • Uphold the highest standards of behavior management and classroom discipline, promoting a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Minimum UK primary teaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK primary curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is essential.
