We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Temporary Agency Chef to join our team. providing cover in various care environments across Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and individual preferences. They will uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene while demonstrating creativity and flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook delicious and nutritious meals for residents and patients in accordance with dietary requirements and preferences.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
- Work collaboratively with care staff to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- Adapt quickly to different kitchen environments and procedures across various care settings.
- Provide support and guidance to kitchen assistants and other staff members as needed.
- Communicate effectively with management and care staff to address any issues or concerns promptly.
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious and nutritious meals.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and travel to different locations within Glasgow.
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications.
