A large social housing regeneration group are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for a cladding remediation project in Rainham,Essex for a Housing Association
The role:
Quantity Surveyor
To assist the Senior QS and within time take over the project and report into them.
Demonstrate knowledge and experience of commercial management of works on site.
Duties:
Pricing works in accordance with the contract using the schedule of rates.
Management of early warnings, compensation events and associated quotations
Management of supply chain partners
Assessment and processing of subcontractor payments and liabilities
Provide advice on contractual matters
Represent Vinci in client and supply chain meetings
Aid Senior QS in administration of the contract
Provide effective administration of the contact
Assist the identification and management of financial risks
Effective commercial management of onsite activities and change management process
Good use of excel and word
Maintain relationships with a high level of trust with client representatives of all levels
Hands on active support for colleagues
Keen understanding of commercial terms
The Company:
Part of a larger construction group they are leading provider of regeneration services in the UK. They design, build, refurbish and regenerate communities completing refurbishment, repairs and maintenance and housing development.
The Person:
It is likely you will have previously worked as either a QS or Quantity Surveyor preferably in a similar refurbishment social house building environment on refurb, or external social housing refurbishment projects.
Previous experience in a similar role
Quantity surveying or Construction Engineering qualification
