Due to growth within the Energy team, a permanent job for an Energy Operations Technician has arisen.
Your new role
Your new job working as an Operations Technician oversees the administration of insurance and/or reinsurance accounts and contracts. You will support the underwriters in administrative activities related to the underwriting process. Duties will include being responsible for entries (treaties and/or facultative) in the Accounting and Underwriting system/platforms and all further modifications, entering Terms & Conditions into the accounting system with accuracy and checking these and submitting them to Underwriters for signature and drawing their attention in case of ambiguities or changes. Further duties include checking and processing accounts and claims advice, clarifying discrepancies of accounts and claims with underwriters/claim experts/cedents/brokers, independently managing their own portfolio with medium to complex accounts and solving complex problems or problems where precedent may not exist. Additional responsibilities include ensuring completeness and proper filing of underwriting, accounting and claims documentation Document Management System, maintaining good communication with clients by attending internal and external meetings and workshops as required and being accountable for internal and external audit purposes.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as an Operations Technician within an Insurer or Broker where you have proven experience in handling and processing Energy risks will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will also have solid insurance and reinsurance knowledge and eagerness to deepen expertise, advanced analytical skills and accuracy, self-motivation, flexibility and adaptability to change, a sense of reliability and responsibility, advanced communication and team collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders and team members.
What you'll get in return
You'll be offered a competitive salary of up to £55,000 (depending on experience) and flexible working will be available.
