An outstanding Primary School based in Knowsley is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work within their Year 2 class to support the class teacher.This TA job will be the full academic year, with the chance of it going permanent for the right candidate. This job offers the successful Teaching Assistant the chance to join a high-achieving team, and challenge themselves and the pupils to progress.
Your new role
- This role is to support the class teacher in the classroom, prepare resources and teaching materials, ensure that the children in the class have access to the curriculum.
- Supporting pupils with special needs.
- Preparing individual resources for pupils who need them.
- Assessing progress.
- To create a positive working and learning environment in the classroom.
- This is a full-time position to work 5 days a week.
What you'll need to succeed
SKILLS NEEDED:
- Experience of working in a school environment
- Level 2/3 Teaching assistant Qualification or equivalent
- Good numeracy and Literacy Skills
- Ability to relate well to children.
- Work constructively as part of a team
- Working alongside children with SEN/behavioural difficulties is desirable.
