Senior Finance Manager - Group Reporting

Robert Walters are excited to be working in exclusive partnership with a successful blue-chip business who are experiencing an exciting period of transformation. Due to growth, the business are looking to appoint a high calibre Senior Finance Manager to oversee the provision of month end management accounting, drive improvements to processes and provide key financial information to the commercial teams.

The role:

  • Manage, coach and develop a team of four finance professionals.
  • Providing monthly management accounts, board packs and board reports that monitor performance against agreed KPI's.
  • Partner with business and finance stakeholders to understand performance and the commercial impacts, to interpret performance analysis and create value adding challenges.
  • Highlight the key risks & opportunities to the business unit based on analysis of results and application of accounting standards.
  • Present results to the finance business partners, finance leadership team, senior management and the executive leaders.
  • Interpret and lead the implementation of complex accounting standards, driving efficiency and accuracy in the preparation processes.
  • Identify improvements that address management letter points and internal control weaknesses.
  • Define and drive efficient governance and financial control processes that deliver high quality, timely, auditable output.
  • Create effective process, workflow and system designs to drive efficiency and a culture of continuous improvement (accuracy, control, automation, simplification, efficiency, collaboration).
  • Provide and review all underlying financial analysis and support to internal and external auditors.
  • Lead projects within the business that support and improve financial reporting.
  • Create and manage a high performing team.

Experience:

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Previous success in a managerial position including experience of developing team members would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience of driving process improvements.
  • Previous experience in data analysis and insight, as well as strong analytical and data gathering skills.
  • Proven success of influencing strategic decision making.
