Title: Finance Director
Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 + bonus & wider benefits
Location: London, hybrid working offered
Our client, a multinational Energy group headquartered in London with operations across Europe and North America, are currently seeking a technicall adept Finance Director to join their finance team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage the statutory accounting process, ensuring all entities accounts are submitted on time to Companies House. Responsibility for compliance to accounting standards (IFRS and UK GAAP).
- Main point of contact for both internal and external auditors, ensuring any issues are resolved.
- Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end accounting process, ensuring all internal and external deadlines are met.
- Manage the VAT and Duty figures to be provided to external advisors to complete HMRC return.
- Review existing accounting practices and lead improvements in the monthly and quarterly processes.
- Oversight of Credit function and process ensuring sound risk management of accounts overdue, credit insurance.
- Support development transformation from an accounting and financial reporting during planning and implementation.
- Support corporation and deferred tax calculation and coordinate with the wider UK tax specialists to ensure full compliance with applicable legislation and group strategy.
- Lead the adoption of new standards and monitor correct implementation. Management Information responsibilities
- Present information to senior members of the organization highlighting key points and ensuring critical controlling functions (controlling on manufacturing plants, logistics, customer profitability, product costing) are relevant and accurate.
- Oversee and manage FX exposure and coordinate with the board and head office to manage and hedge the relevant exposure.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) qualified, with 3 years prior experience in a reporting role
- Management experience in a blue chip organization (ideally in oil and gas/energy)
- Ability to provide effective leadership and direction
- Capacity to professionally manage confidential information
- Takes opportunities to improve performance and processes as required
- Professional accounting qualification or proven experience in an accounting role of UK GAAP and IFRS
- Strong knowledge of SAP, mainly on FI and CO modules
- The ability to support and influence senior stakeholders
