We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Training to lead their technical training initiatives.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Lead the development of their training portfolio, ensuring alignment with their mission to advance deep sea exploration.
  • Manage the delivery of training programmes, assessing their effectiveness and adherence to industry regulations and best practices.
  • Oversee a team of training designers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in creating high-quality training programmes.
  • Drive the adoption of cutting-edge training technologies such as simulation-based learning, VR, AR, and e-learning platforms.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, engaging, and effective.
  • Manage the full training cycle, from identifying needs to gaining external validation/accreditation.
  • Select and manage external vendors and resources for training programme development and delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Recognised qualification in training, such as CTT+ or CIPD.
  • Extensive experience in instructional design, training development, or a related role, including leadership positions.
  • Proven track record in designing and executing successful adult training programmes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and familiarity with contemporary training design and delivery methods.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and continuous improvement focus.
  • Desirable: A relevant master's or bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning and Development, Adult Learning, or a related field.
