Role Overview

As the Head of Sales Planning and Project Implementation you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Sales department by overseeing administrative tasks and processes in addition to the planning, scheduling, and coordination of projects from initiation to completion. Your responsibility will be to manage the administrative aspects of the sales operations, streamline procedures, and support the sales team in achieving their targets. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications. You will lead a Sales admin team to establish project management methodologies and drive continuous improvement in planning processes. You will be expected to develop and implement efficient administrative strategies that align with the organization's sales objectives.

Business Acumen

  • Experience of successfully leading and managing projects from conception to implementation. Proven proficiency of analysing and disseminating clear and concise financial reports with commercial context. Demonstrates superior cross functional knowledge of complex business environments and uses judgment to effect positive change.
  • Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for sales administration processes.

Communication and influencing

  • Lead and mentor a team providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of strategic sales and company goals.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactively manages, supports, and mentors peers to develop a strong, passionate, and successful team through effective delegation, performance management and proactive communication.
  • Ability to deliver effective and concise communication and information to the Operating Board.
  • Collaborate closely with sales colleagues to address administrative issues and streamline communication channels.

Continuous Improvement

  • Continuously refine administrative processes for efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement automation tools to streamline tasks in collaboration with IT.
  • Identify and address bottlenecks with innovative solutions.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to identify improvement areas.
  • Stay updated on industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of learning and improvement within the team.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the sales administration team.
  • Participate n strategic planning sessions to align sales administration objectives with broader organizational goals.
  • Ability to build successful/strong stakeholder relationships across all functions whilst maintaining a positive ‘can do' attitude.

Strategic Planning and Risk Management

  • Define project management methodologies, tools, and best practices to optimize planning processes.
  • Identify potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project success.
  • Develop risk management strategies and mitigation plans to address identified risks.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting

  • Monitor project progress against established schedules and milestones.
  • Implement performance tracking mechanisms to measure project performance and identify deviations from planned objectives.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, status updates, and executive summaries for stakeholders and senior management.
