QA Automation Engineer
- Hybrid – Fareham (days onsite)
- Inside IR35
- Rate: £350-400 per day
- Initially 6 month contract
VIQU have partnered with an international powerhouse seeking to bring onboard an experienced QA contractor to join their high performing team.
Experience Required for the QA Automation Engineer:
- Min 5 years quality assurance experience. This must be hands-on testing experience in manual and automation testing.
- Proven experience creating test strategies and test plans. Expertise in identifying the scope of automation and driving automation test development.
- Experience with API testing.
- Proficiency in programming languages, such as JavaScript, Java, Python and must have the tools knowledge (section below)
- Analytically examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through automated testing processes.
- Attention to detail – Being detail oriented is required as they test web and mobile applications to find ways to improve them and isolate problems.
- Good interpersonal skills. Must be a team player. Need strong verbal & written communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering and leadership teams.
Tools:
- Automation tools - Playwright, Selenium, PHPUnit, Jest
- Postman
- Github actions
- Mobile automation testing tools for Android, iOS.
- Continuous Integration tools - Jenkins, Bit bucket, Github
- JIRA – Defect tracking and task creation tool
- CI/CD QA automation - Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery for automation workflows.
- AWS / Azure experience is beneficial
- ecommerce applications experience is beneficial
