Teaching Assistant- September Start

Tradewind Recruitment invites applications for a rewarding opportunity as a full-time Learning Support Assistant at a primary school in Yatton, starting September 2024.

In this role, you will have the privilege of working closely with a student who has diverse SEND requirements in a 1-2-1 capacity during the mornings, and as a general teaching assistant for a year 4 class in the afternoons.

We are seeking candidates who possess experience supporting children with SEND in either 1-2-1 or small group settings. Your ability to cultivate trust and form impactful relationships with students will be essential in promoting their academic and emotional growth. Excellent communication skills are crucial for collaborating with teachers and parents, as well as providing regular feedback on the child's progress and learning journey.

We are looking for individuals who are driven by their passion to make a positive impact on a child's education, and who are dedicated to their overall well-being and holistic development.

Key Details:

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, providing you with evenings and weekends free to unwind.
  • Daily rate: Starting from £85-£90, based on your experience and qualifications.

  • You possess exceptional patience and resilience, able to adapt your approach to accommodate different learning styles and challenges.
  • Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • You are proactive and resourceful, actively seeking out innovative strategies and techniques to enhance the educational experience of children with SEND.
  • Your excellent organisational skills allow you to effectively manage your time, prioritise tasks, and provide the necessary support to students throughout the day.
  • You have a positive and nurturing demeanour, fostering a safe and encouraging atmosphere where students can thrive academically and emotionally.
  • Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enable you to provide clear and constructive feedback to teachers, parents, and colleagues.
  • You have a commitment to continuous professional development, staying updated on the latest research and best practices in the field of SEND education.
  • Your genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with SEND drives your motivation and enthusiasm for this role.
  • You are a team player, willing to actively contribute to the overall success and harmony of the school community.
