This is a specialised role within the Children in Care service for Durham Local Authority.
This role is to work with our children at home with their parents or living with connected carers, complete assessments with the aim to progress to Court to discharge the Care Orders. The successful candidate would be based at the Children in Care office in Pity Me, next to the Arnison Centre.
We offer hybrid working where the successful candidate will need to be in the office at least two days a week, with the opportunity to work at home the other three days.
Requirements as a Social Worker include:
- SWE Registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Drive and have access to a car
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
