Town Planner
Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a dynamic Town Planning Consultancy in their hire of an ambitious and enthusiastic Town Planner to their Preston based team!
Due to an ever-increasing pipeline of work, the team are now looking for the addition of an experienced Town Planner to join them working on a varied portfolio of work across strategic residential, regeneration, commercial and industrial projects.
The successful candidate will be tasked with submitting planning applications, appeals, and pre-application enquiries, as well as undertaking regular community engagement, committee meetings and public examinations. You will research and design planning policies, write quality reports and recommendations, and communicate with all stakeholders involved in the planning process.
Candidate Requirements:
- RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or a related field of study.
- MRTPI Chartered ideally, or in the process of submitting for the APC.
- Demonstratable previous experience at Planner or Senior Planner level.
- Clear understanding of the UK Planning system and process.
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
