Job Description:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with autistic children, helping them achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, SENCO, and class teachers.
  • Support pupils with autism to understand instructions, independent learning and inclusion in social activities.
  • Work with other professionals, such as speech therapists and occupational therapists, as necessary.
  • Monitor and evaluate students' progress and write reports to record their progress.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the needs of autistic children and their learning styles.
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable.
